I don't know this and could not be bothered trying to look into it but I wonder if Aspyr is not more involved with projects porting console titles to Windows. Haven't they done this kind of work previously? If they are not working on Civ VI, they'd better have found something noteworthy to do. I mean it's clear they are working on the iOS version of KotOR 2, but that will hardly bind all their workforce. What I find odd is that they apparently their Facebook is disabled.

I hope they are doing all right. Their Facebook is working for me.
I think you now need to be logged into Facebook to access their site. On, they are working on multiple titles and will have news about one of them in the beginning of July. That's good to hear. I have felt a little guilty here of all places talking elsewhere about my decision to migrate back to PC/Windows gaming and maybe still some console too and my excitement about that for various reasons. I'm still very much an Apple fan including of Mac computers and I feel the same as always about hoping good things happen for gaming on Macs and Linux too for that matter.
The more people enjoying gaming however they want to, the better. If I could just win the damned lottery I'd love having a MacBook Pro to go with my gaming PC for the best of both worlds but it is so expensive to do so and there's no way to justify it even if I could because I'm not even doing anything that generates income with a computer anymore. It's all just simple consumer stuff largely aside of my music creation aspirations which the Mac is excellent for. Got any samples? I had written a wall of completely off topic text here and realized I am an idiot (again!) to do that. So off into the void it goes!
I'll think about that and maybe make an off topic post where I can preface anything I share with lots of cautions, excuses, warnings, etc. As I toss my poor fragile ego into the fire not that i had any delusions of grandeur to begin with but my first outing with Garageband a while ago is my first try and my first playing/singing after 5 years off due to surgery on my arm. So we'll see but remember, if I post some links you asked for it and it's on you whatever happens to your ears. I am hoping they are not working on Civ VI because I am afraid then the MAS version will be a single player only experience like they have been doing. I cannot foresee an App Store version that could include multiplayer as the game would almost surely utilize Steam features for its multiplayer component in Windows and any Mac version supporting multiplayer would need to be on Steam as well. The thing about adding multiplayer to a Mac App Store version is you are looking at having to not port it from the Windows version but actually write it to macOS multiplayer support. I doubt given the effort and expense involved that would happen myself but I guess i could wind up being wrong.
It certainly would not be the first time. Even if that was done, the majority of players would be on Steam with no way for Mac App store players to connect to them. ^^^ This is a result of being in the App Store. MAS apps can't require an external application because of the sandboxing rules, so exnay on the steamworks.
Games like Bauldurs gate implement their own multiplayer mechanism in the app so they are actually cross platform multiplayer with the App Store version, without violating any of the sandboxing rules. It's not that the MAS prevents them from implementing multiplayer but they have to rip out the network stuff and replace it with their own. Hoping the gamekit framework gets some love in 10.12 but as of right now replacing steamworks multiplayer with Game Center would be a losing proposition since Game Center has been broken in 10.11. Replacing steamworks with their own infrastructure is burden as well. I would not buy any game that originally relied on steamworks integration on the MAS.
Homeworld Remastered Mods
The games were originally released in the early 90s, giving the strategy genre an all-new identity due to Homeworld’s expansive space battles, much like Star Wars. The battles offered a scale which were never seen before, and are nowhere to be seen today either. I don’t mean to pick on you but not only were we here in this thread years ago now but we also were around when these games originally released. We are well aware of their history. We are hard core gaming enthusiasts. As such, resurrecting years old threads with statements of the obvious to this group isn’t really of any educational value. It’s just the kind of distraction that necro’d threads are somewhat infamous for.
I think the context of such threads should clarify what they are about but that does require paying some minimal amount of attention to what is being responded to. Anyone can miss a date or respond to the most recent post without realizing what is going on once in a while. My response here and elsewhere on the same day was in recognition of a trend of not seeming to pay attention to what was being responded to. Naturally, I welcome whatever response Anas may have to offer to my comments.

However, another trend I have noted is that his posts seem to be just FYI things for our enlightenment in which no further discussion is warranted no matter how we might respond to them.
